Mattered by Jessica Ni Leacai

Mattered by Jessica Ni Leacai

If shovel was a foot, dig deep it
into ground, grind swift, sturdy, so
steering spade spread soil, surging,
sticking, steel, into cavenous cowl below

If scissors sped the hand, how hardy,
the hazard, it’s creation, cutting cubes
of chaos, crass images of cautioning,
chopping, cobalt, mixed metal in alloy

If shards made the mind, puzzling put,
a paragon, of pieces, pentodes placed,
proratable positions perfected, permixed,
plating, pyrex, fused formation fragile
